A lakefront mansion in Lake Geneva sold for $12.7 million this month after dropping 8% from the asking price when it was first listed in October.
Sellers listed the nearly 12,000-square-foot property located at 906 South Lakeshore Drive at just under $14 million when it went on the market on Oct. 13, according to the listing broker, David Curry’s Geneva Lakefront Realty, and MLS data maintained by Zillow. The asking price dropped by $1.2 million before the final sale was made on Feb. 1.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate is the fourth Lake Geneva lakefront sale the brokerage has closed at over $9.5 million in the last eight months, according to a blog post written by Curry, who represented both the buyers and sellers.
Curry represented the sellers as well as the buyers of the Fontana home, according to Zillow and the Feb. 3 blog post. Curry states his last ask on the home was $13.9 million and the price ultimately dropped 8% when sold to the home’s new owner.
Curry was not available for comment when contacted for comment on the sale Monday afternoon.
This is a developing story.
